Classroom Suite

Core software for grades K-2 SEC classes using an academic curriculum and grades K-12 using a functional curriculum.  Includes the titles: IntelliTalk, IntelliMathics, and IntelliPics.

Dates:  2/5/09 (Hapeville), 2/9/09 (Alpharetta)

Time:  8:30 - 3:30

Requirements:  Registration is required. Attendees should bring their teacher laptops (if applicable) and a/c adapter.

The Introduction to DynaVox Series 4 and Series 5: Application and Use

This one-day training will provide basic use and programming information for the Dynavox DV4, MT4, V, and VMax communication devices, as well as discussion of vocabulary selection and development.

Dates:  1/27/09 (Hapeville), 3/26/09 (Alpharetta)

Time:  8:30 - 3:30

Location:  1/27/09: Jo Wells Education Center, Hapeville; 3/26/09: Professional Development, Milton Center, Alpharetta

Requirements:  Registration is required.  Participants must bring the student's DV4, MT4, V, and/or VMax device and charger, or a laptop computer with CD drive and charger.

DynaVox MiniMo and MightyMo

This one-day training will review basics of quick page programming and discuss modifying pages, setting up user preferences, creating pages from scratch.

Dates:  2/24/09 (Alpharetta)

Time:  8:30-3:30

Location:  Professional Development, Milton Center, Alpharetta

Requirements:  Registration is required.  Participants must bring the student's MiniMo or MightyMo device and charger

PowerPoint Books (Advanced)

Using PowerPoint to create digital books and accessible materials

Date:  2/18/09

Time:  8:30 - 3:30

Setting Up the Classroom

Provides teachers instruction on setting up the functional classroom to integrate available Assistive Technology tools and support student learning in the functional classroom.

Solo for Reading

Provides instruction on components of Solo that provide reading supports as well as instructional strategies for the classroom when using the software.

Dates: 2/3/09 (Alpharetta), 2/4/09 (Hapeville)

Time: 8:30-3:30

Requirements: Registration is required. Hapeville participants are strongly encouraged to bring their teacher laptops and a/c adapters.

Solo for Implementation

Allows instructors time to review the program and build assignments based on curriculum with guided support.
