The Atlanta Spirit charitable organization has generously donated Atlanta Hawks and Thrashers tickets to the Coach’s Office to distribute to students that have made improvements in academics and attendance. They have also co-sponsored a Poetry Slam contest along with the United Way LIVE campaign, in which two of our students were finalists out of over 150 applicants.

Originally created to target students with excessive absence, VIP Phase II is a school-wide initiative that allows teachers the opportunity to select students in their first and fourth period classes to receive a prize. Students must demonstrate they have made improvements in their daily attendance and/or academics to receive an award. Over 75 students have received awards this semester. |

The Graduation Coach is the school Voter Registrar. Students can complete voter registration applications and learn how to cast ballots using the latest touch-screen technology. Periodically, a representative from the Georgia State Office of Elections will visit and present seminars on voting. |

Sponsored by the national organization for homeless teens, Stand Up For Kids, the North Fulton Initiative is a collaborative effort among local charities to assist students that are either presently homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. Their assistance allows students the opportunity to remain in school and earn their high school diploma. |

Career Business Education Advisory seeks to provide opportunities for students to develop marketable employment skills and work experiences. |
|
Committee is a collaboration that includes Counselors, Social Worker and Administration in determining student enrollment status via teacher recommendation. |
|
PLATO is an online credit recovery program that allows students the opportunity to earn necessary credits for a high school diploma. |

The Graduation Coach creates notification campaigns to make students aware of important testing dates and times. Also, the Coach is an examiner for standardized tests. |
