Connected Academy

After receiving a B.A. in Education and an M. Ed. in Guidance and Counseling, I taught at the high school level and the university level in Ohio.   Upon coming to Georgia in 1982 I began a 25 year career in School Counseling in middle schools and predominantly at the high school level. I spent 15 years with Cobb County Schools; 12 years as a Counselor at Lassiter High School.  My last 9 years I have served Fulton County School District as a Counselor and Head Counselor at Milton High School.

Being recognized by my peers as Cobb County School District’s “High School Counselor of the Year” in 1995, was an honor I will always cherish.  Selected to attend the Governor’s School Leadership Institute 2001-2003, and now serving a three year term on the Georgia Tech High School Advisory Board are opportunities I am glad have found me.

Curriculum, Transcripts, College and Career Guidance, Testing, Individual Counseling, I consider strengths.  Time management, focus, follow through are indeed invaluable tools I consider assets in working with our stakeholders.

Working with young people and helping them achieve their goals is my passion.  Connected Academy is a dream school for me and I know it will benefit all who enroll.
