Dear Connected Academy Parents and Students, The countdown has begun. We have only 14 days left of school and I can hear the hooting and hollering from students! As I recently quoted with students, "Triumph is just the extra "umph" added to the "try". Only 14 days remain for this extra 'umph' to make an impact. Students have received their mid term progress reports this week so parents will be apprised of their child's standing at this date. If you note a failing grade in any course, this is critical. The courses your students are taking this quarter are part of their final credit that MUST be received in order to graduate. If your student does not pull a failing grade up within the remaining 14 days, he/she will not be able to graduate and receive a diploma. I beseech our parents - please help us in our efforts to support your student by also providing the support at home. Be vigilant in your child's attendance. Check your child's online coursework daily to ensure they are maintaining a passing average. Virtual course instructors are available to assist parents and students, just as teachers and staff here at CA readily assist. Do not fall for "My teacher hasn't posted my grades yet, I did the work." Check to see if the work has actually been completed by having your student go into 'assignments' for the specific date. Only 14 days left...let's work together so the grand finale, graduation, will be a moment of celebration for all. Warm Regards, Mrs. Burgess Student News
