The G. Wayne Clough Georgia Tech Promise Scholarship

The program is designed to fill a gap in the financial aid support system, picking up where the HOPE scholarship and other financial aid options leave off. Assistance awarded from the Georgia Tech Promise includes scholarships, grants, and job opportunities. Student eligibility requirements and criteria include:

bullet Legal Georgia resident
bullet Eligible applicant for federal student financial aid
bullet Less than $33,000 in total family income
bullet Submit a complete financial aid application each year

 Ronald McDonald House Charities 2008-2009 Scholarships

The Ron Brown Scholar Program is a national program that awards scholarship to academically talented, highly motivated African American high school seniors who intend to pursue undergraduate degrees full-time. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents. The Program honors the late Ronald H. Brown, Secretary of Commerce during the Clinton Administration. These Scholarships are reserved for exceptional individuals who share Brown’s traits of excellence, leadership, commitment to public service and a desire to make a difference. In addition, applicants must demonstrate financial need.

This Scholarship was started by Andy McKelvey, former CEO of Monster.com and lifelong Entrepreneur, the McKelvey Foundation began the Entrepreneurial Scholarship program in 2004. The scholarship is available to all high school seniors who have demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating their own business while in high school. The scholarship offers up to 10,000 per academic year for 4 years to any US college
