Local School Advisory Council

The Local School Advisory Council (LSAC) is an advisory body that provides advice and recommendations to the school principal on any matter related to student achievement and school improvements. The purpose of school councils is to “bring communities and schools closer together in a spirit of cooperation to solve difficult education problems, improve academic achievement, provide support for teachers and administrators, and bring parents into the school-based decision-making process.” For more information on School Councils http://www.gsci.org/councils/training.html.
