DRESS CODE
Dear Banneker
Parents and Students:
Spring is
here!!! The weather is warmer and we want to remind parents
and students about Banneker High School’s student dress code
expectations. Students are especially reminded not to wear
skirts and shorts that are higher than the student’s finger
tips, see-through clothing, extremely tight-fitting clothing,
shirts that reveal the student’s mid-drift, tang-top t-shirts;
for example, wife-beaters, pants that are worn below the
waist-line, etc. You may refer to the student handbook for the
complete listing of inappropriate clothing for school and/or
contact a school administrator for additional clarity concerning
this expectation.
Students who
fail to meet our dress code expectations will be sent to the
discipline office to contact a parent for a change of clothing
and/or the student will be suspended.
Your
cooperation and support are greatly appreciated as we seek to
instill in our students both personal and school pride, as well
as, an appropriate appreciation for their formal education.
