Minnesota
Vikings fifth-round draft pick Greg Blue signed a four-year
contract worth $1.78 million with the team. The deal includes a
$170,000 signing bonus and minimum base salaries for all four
years.
Georgia safety
Greg Blue could turn into Minnesota Vikings safety or
linebacker. He’s willing to do whatever helps enhance his role
with the team. The Banneker Family wants to wish Mr. Blue
the best of luck as he begins his NFL career. The Trojans
back and support Greg 110%. Mr. Blues' NFL story is yet to
be written. GOOD LUCK TROJAN BLUE!.
Denver
Broncos Darius Watts (Spider) begins another NFL season.
The Denver Post reports Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan
said Darius Watts has "stood out" more than any player in recent
offseason workouts. He shined during the team's 16 days of
workouts, which included their last minicamp. Head coach Mike
Shanahan singled out Watts as the player who made the biggest
strides over the offseason. Shanahan said, "I see him feeling a
lot more comfortable with the system where he doesn't have to
think. He can react. A lot of times when a guy can do that, then
catching a ball becomes much easier. He still has great speed,
he's very explosive and he can do things a lot of receivers
can't do. More importantly for him, I think he feels a lot more
comfortable with the scheme so he can go out there and execute
and not think. He looked pretty good." The Banneker Family
still remembers Darius and all the excitement he delivered as
the Spider on the Trojan football field. Good Luck Mr.
Watts as you begin to come into your own this year in the NFL.
Levon
Thomas begins his second season with the Indianapolis
Colts. Banneker saw so many wonderful plays by Levon as a
Trojan. It was so exciting watching him excel as a Georgia
Tech Yellow Jacket. This year we all look forward to
seeing Mr. Thomas show want he can now do in the NFL with a
years experience behind him. Good Luck Levon.
The Banneker Family
wants to wish
- Carlos Thomas
( South Carolina), Jada Brown ( Old Miss), Chris Payne
( Albany
State), Olufemi Ajiboye (Virginia Tech), Trey Henderson
(Clark Atlanta), Jason Rogers ( Alabama A&M) and all the
other great Trojan Athletes as they pursue their college careers
and diplomas this year.
BANNEKER WANTS TO THANK ALL
OF THE TROJAN ATHLETES OF THE PAST YEARS IN ALL SPORTS FOR THE
EXCITEMENT, DEDICATION AND HARD WORK THAT IS THE GREAT
TROJAN TRADITION!
