"Burying our Past to Live our Future"

On  January 31, 2008 the students, faculty, and staff held a wonderful assembly.  Everyone took all the negatives from their past and buried them, turning them into positives for their future.  Banneker students will no longer blame their past failures in academics and life for a reason to not succeed in the future.  Banneker High School has a new beginning and purpose.  No person or thing will hold us back from accomplishing our goals.  Our goals will be positive ones that will help us as individuals, and as a school.  Special thanks for those that worked hard to make this event a wonderful success:  Social Workers & Counseling Staff, BHS Chorus & Mr. Ogletree,   Robert Williams, Rodney Johnson, Andre Loyd, Jenaye Lawrence, Da Vincio, Sparky D, Jerome Lawrence, Timothy McDonald, Misha Lewis, Chrissy Lee, Rodney Johnson,Tecola Brooks, Jenaye Lawrence, John Beasley, Lucy Kamga, Tangela Bonds, Kierra Webb, Anthony Moore, Misha Lewis, Sergio Kitchens, Christopher Miller, Jessica Richardson, Ashley Mobley, Celina Still, Courtney Williams, Lilnita Childs, La Tishanae Smith, Fatoumata Sanyang, Shunta Johns, Kelseoshana Melson, Antriniece Lipscomb, Men of Destiny, BHS Students, BHS Faculty, and all others involved.
