John A. Anderson,
Principal

My name is John Anderson and I am very excited to begin my fourth year at Cogburn Woods Elementary! I have been an employee in Fulton County for twenty-seven years.   I graduated from The University of Georgia (is there any other University?)  with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education.  I began my career teaching third and fourth grade at The Meadows Elementary in College Park.   I taught there for nine years.  I completed my Masters in Middle Grades at Georgia State University and opened McNair Middle School in College Park as a seventh grade teacher, where I taught science, reading, and social studies for two years.  I received a Specialist Degree in Administration from Georgia State University, and went to Holcomb Bridge Middle as an assistant principal.  I worked there for six years and then returned to South County to be the assistant principal at Bear Creek Middle.  In 2000, I opened Ocee Elementary as the principal.  I have had a wonderful career in Fulton County, working with a variety of boys and girls.  I am looking forward to another great year at Cogburn Woods.

  Anita Erickson,

My name is Anita Erickson and I am very  excited to begin my second year as the  Assistant Principal of Cogburn Woods Elementary School.  I am married and have three wonderful children, Jordan, Austin, and Olivia.  My career began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Muskingum College in Ohio.  I later earned a Masters of Arts degree in learning disabilities from the University of South Florida, and I recently earned an Educational Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University.  For the past ten years, I have worked in Fulton County schools as an Instructional Support Teacher (IST) in which I oversaw and coordinated the special education programs.  Prior to being an IST, I taught special education students with varying exceptionalities for eleven years in Ohio, Florida, and Georgia in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. I look forward to an exciting year at Cogburn Woods!
