Dear CWE Families,

 We would like to thank you for your support of our second annual Friends of the Cougar campaign and your membership in the CWE PTA. With your support and the support of our business partners, we have maintained programs such as Accelerated Reader, Masters of the Arts, Art Reflections, Science Lab, and the purchase of a Phonics program. We continue to support our teachers through grants, honor them through our teacher appreciation program, and provide parent education programs with our Lunch-and-Learn seminars.

This year's fifth grade trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee was a fun-filled learning experience. Students visited the Tennessee Aquarium, Ruby Falls and enjoyed a river boat luncheon cruise.

As we look forward to next year and the transition of many new families to our school, the PTA will work with the school staff to extend a warm welcome and to help our new families through this transition. At the same time, it is with great sadness that we will say good-bye to so many of our friends.
