My oldest daughter and her husband are living in West Hollywood pursuing  acting careers. My youngest is at Auburn and it is hard for me to say "War Eagle" since I graduated from UGA! I love to travel and was fortunate enough to go to Australia a couple of years ago. I also enjoy music as my students will tell you! We sing a lot in my class! I am glad to be in this area so I can enjoy many great concerts. I love to run and am proud to say I have run in the Peachtree Road Race for three years. I love what I do and am thrilled to be in a great school with great students, faculty and families!

Jodi Luxton - Luxton@fulton.k12.ga.us

My name is Jodi Luxton, and teaching is my passion! Upon completing my degree at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, I taught for  seven years at Bainbridge Elementary. In the summer of 1999 my family (husband Rob and our three daughters - Hannah, Addison and Shelby) arrived in Alpharetta and I began my Fulton County teaching career. I have been teaching for fifteen years and I look forward to the opportunity to work with such a talented and valued staff and supportive community! It is my pleasure to be a part of the Cogburn Woods family. The children that enter my classroom door are given opportunities to explore learning and draw meaning from hands-on experience, role-play, and innovative instruction. My classroom environment is child-centered, and fosters life-long learning. It is a safe and creative atmosphere that allows each student to value himself as well as others.
