Allison Elder - Art Teacher - eldera1@fulton.k12.ga.us
Hi! My name is Allison Elder and I’m so excited to be teaching art here at Cogburn Woods. I recently graduated with a BFA in Art Education and can’t wait to implement my new teaching practices and ideas. I went to high school at Centennial, although my parents have since moved to be on a lake in Alabama. I’ve had a big summer because I also recently married a smart and funny man, Dave. Away from school, I love to read, hike, paint, and play at the lake.

Kenneth McGee - School Social Worker - mcgee@fulton.k12.ga.us
I, Kenneth Wayne McGee bring you greetings from the Fulton County School Social Workers. I am a transplant from Indianapolis, Indiana. I attended the public schools of Indianapolis and received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, in 1987. Having been a survivor of a foster home transience and other family dysfunctions, I acquired an insatiable desire to enter the Social Work profession so that I can make a difference in the lives of ALL people. Having walked in their moccasins, who else would be to able to empathize and strategize to face today’s family challenges. I completed my master’s in School Social Work from Indiana University in 1993. The baton was handed to me, and I was off: on my quest to make a difference, to impact lives, to proactively circumvent possible disaster and tragedy. After a career in Washington Townships, within Indiana, I was led to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia. From Group Home Supervisor, Installer with Lucent Technologies and Social Service Provider with the Juvenile System, I found my new home within Fulton County Schools. On a personal note, I am an avid Batman fan and enjoy working in my yard.
Within this profession, there are so many lives you touch, emotions you feel, bridges you cross, seas you swim over and I am fortunate to have experienced first hand all of the above, thus equipping to better serve our children.
