Local School Advisory Council Elections

Local School Advisory Council Positions Open (LSAC)

Northwestern Middle School Local School Council will be holding nominations for parents and/or guardians to serve on the Local School Advisory Council in August and the elections will be in September at the Open House evenings.   Northwestern will have two open parent positions for the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 school years.  Council members are elected for a two-year term.

To serve on LSAC as a parent or guardian you must have a student enrolled at Northwestern Middle School for the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 school years, excluding parents or guardians who are also employees of the schools.  One parent position requires a parent with business experience.  This means they either hold a current business position or held one in the past for at least two years.

Northwestern’s LSAC currently meets once a month, dates and times will be confirmed during the school year.

Nominations will be accepted from August 1 – August 12, 2008.  If you are interested in serving on Northwestern’s Local School Advisory Council contact Karen Evans at EvansK@fulton.k12.ga.us for a nomination form.  There are also forms available at the school and at the bottom of this page..

Elections will be held at the Open House nights in September.
