School Improvement Plan

Mr. Lee Adams, Principal, and Ms. Vicki Bulluck, Assistant Principal, head up a staff dedicated to educating and encouraging the children of our future.

From Mr. Adams:

The staff and I would like to welcome you to the Parklane Elementary website. Our goal is to provide our children with a quality education in reading, writing and mathematics as well as provide enrichment experiences in the areas of art, music, physical education and computers. We believe that the foundation of a successful elementary school experience for our children requires parents, the community and school personnel to work together. With all of us encouraging, supporting and providing our students with a sound basic education and enriching experiences, we hope to promote a nurturing yet challenging environment conducive to learning and student success.

The purpose of our website is to introduce you to our school, give you some information and background and provide you with the opportunity to contact us for more information.
We are pleased that you are interested and if we can be of any further help, please feel free to call us at 404-669-8070.

At Parklane, the school day begins at
7:50 a.m. and ends at 2:20 p.m.

Recently, Mr. Johnathan Bush of Washington Mutual (one of our business partners) presented Mr. Adams and several of our students with an endowment  for our school from Washington Mutual.

PTA News

Starting next year, the Fulton County School System will require that all parents/guardians submit a notarized Affidavit of Residence form to the school.  This requirement applies to both current and new students and will be required annually.

The purpose of the Affidavit is to make sure that only students who reside in Fulton County attend our schools.  Our reputation as one of the best school systems in Georgia has resulted in some families who live outside of the Fulton attendance zones finding creative ways to enroll their children in Fulton schools.  These families are taking advantage of our outstanding programs and services – without paying the Fulton taxes that are used to fund our schools.  The notarized Affidavit legally verifies that your child resides in our school attendance zone, or has an approved hardship or other placement.

A copy of the form can be downloaded by clicking on this image:

 Affidavit of Residency

Please complete, have notarized, and return the form during the first week of the 2008-2009 school year.
