Harriet Tubman Elementary School has two full-time counselors who offer
an in-depth support system to faculty, students, and parents. Programs
include:

Teacher Consultation
Tutorial Programs
Community Referrals


The school counselor provides leadership in the local school through the
implementation of developemental, preventive, and crisis intervention
programs designed to further the development of children.
Four major tasks:

1. Establishes and implements a school-based guidance plan.
2. Conducts personal counseling with students in areas of need.
3. Consults with school staff, parents, and community resources.
4. Coordinates educational and social programs based on student needs.
