Dear Parents,
The 2001-02 school year is almost over! It's time to start
planning for summer school, summer vacation, and the 2002-03 school year. With
this in mind, you are encouraged to do the following: register/pre-register your
child for the
2002-03 school year on May 1st - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or May 2nd, 8:00 a.m. to
7:00 p.m.; complete and return the summer school application by May 1st; secure
a library card for your child so that he/she may check out and read some
wonderful books this summer.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Has your child
lost a coat, jacket, sweater, etc. at school? Well, now is the time to claim
it!! On May 17th all
unclaimed lost items (coats, jackets, sweaters, etc.) will be donated to
Goodwill. The last day to claim items is May
14th.
Please call Mrs. C. Rhynes to schedule an appointment to
register your 4 year old for PreK. In order to register a child, you need proof
of residence, an original birth certificate (raised seal), eye, ear, dental
certificate (form 3300), immunization record (form 3231), social security card,
Medicaid card (if applicable), legal guardianship papers (if applicable).
The Fulton County Board of Education is asking a federal
court to release the
school system from a 1970 court order which requires the
desegregation of the county schools. You may access Fulton County's website to
learn more about
this important matter (www.fulton.k12.ga.us).
