Research Resources

The “big Kahuna” of research databases.  Stands for GA Libraries Online and  has reference databases in Literature, Science, Social Issues, History, Science and Technology, and an extensive collection of periodicals.  All researchers STOP here first.

A comprehensive, easy-to-understand, encyclopedia with basic facts and information on people, places, and things.  STOP here if you need reliable background  information on a  new topic.  In other words, if you have never even heard of your topic!

Let me introduce you to the 3 Big G’s of Research

A close second to Galileo.  Many tried-and-true print encyclopedias are now online and easily searchable in this database.  Excellent resource for biographies of authors, scientists, and historical figures.  STOP here to find those teacher required “book sources.”
