contemporary sayings and answer questions 1-6 at the end of the

7 In class reading and discussion of “Speech in the Convention.” We examined rhetorical strategies of logos,
ethos, and pathos and distinguished between Franklin’s writing and those of
Jefferson, Paine, and Henry. Left over time you were to spend beginning JFK’s inaugural address
and making connections to the revolutionary literature we’ve discussed. HW: Continue working on your projects! |
8 I was out today for a Duty Day. Time given for you to continue reading and annotating “JFK’s
Inaugural Address” (p. 195). You are to answer the three questions at the end in complete paragraphs. This will be collected by the substitute. HW: Continue working on your projects! |

You were given a packet of critical reading practice and Ms. Cook gave
you instruction on Critical Reading strategies. Notes are suggested, and the

discussing Act III. ~Pd. 6 Continuation of Act III reading. |
1 ~Pd. 5 Continuation of discussion of Act III of TC. ~Pd. 6 We will conclude reading Act III and will discuss the Act in
class. If time permits, we will begin
watching Act III on the film. I will pass back Crucible quizzes today. If time permits, we will go over the
quiz. (If not, we’ll do it tomorrow.) |
