During this course, we will explore contemporary issues facing your society today.  Our exploration will take us through modern literature, as well as film and media.  My goal for our class discussions is that we will all leave each day enlightened as to one another’s thoughts, but more importantly that we will learn to think metacognitively—in other words, we will understand why, as individuals, we think the way we do.  Be open, honest, and don’t hold back your thoughts and ideas and you are certain to leave learning life principles!
