|
Reading Students are required to read four Accelerated Reader books and score at least an 80% on the AR test by December 14th. Students have been given a recording sheet on which they should keep a record of the books they have read, along with their scores. This will count as a class work grade for reading. Grammar In grammar, students will be working on possessive pronouns, as well as reviewing subject and object pronouns. Writing We will be starting an in-class figurative language project. Students will be reviewing various types of figurative language (simile, metaphors, hyperboles, onomatopoeia, alliteration, and idioms) and creating a poster to display examples of these. We will start this before Thanksgiving break and will resume the following week.
