The AMMS Drama Department

The AMMS Drama Department aims to educate students about the world of theatre not only from a performer's perspective but also from that of a theatre technician, director, critic, business manager, designer and audience member.  Many opportunities are provided for students both within class and after school to get involved in performance, stage management, technical theatre and more.

The Drama Department produces a fall play or plays each year and has won the state's highest superior rating at the Georgia Middle School One-Act Festival  for Dragon of the Winds (2010) and The Audition (2009).  This year we will be taking our fall play, "Wooing Wed Widing Hood" by Charlie Lovett to the Regional One Act Festival on October 6th.

In addition to the fall play, the Drama Department at AMMS works closely with the Music Department in the production of the spring musical.  All students are welcome to audition and sign-up for backstage crew for either the fall play or the spring musical.
