Mr. Ott

If you ended up here, you must want to know something about me. Here are a few of the basics.

I grew up on a horse farm in Micanopy, Florida.  That's about fifteen miles south of the University of Florida, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in English.  I've taught middle school language arts and reading for the last sixteen years, and have taught in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.  This is my 10th year at Northwestern, and I love it.   I always like where I'm teaching at the moment the best.  So... if you are one of my 7th graders, you are among my favorite students.

I occasionally enjoy a round of golf, but if you see me on the course, you might want to keep your eyes wide open and your ears alert for a piercing "Fore!"  I can hit a wild shot with no prior  warning and from any position on the course.

My wife and I only have one child.  He is seventy in dog years and doesn't get out too much. This is his favorite position as he can sleep up to twenty-two hours per day.

This is the Buddha
