We are off to a great start this year!  We have really enjoyed getting to know each other.  Some fun things that have already happened are media center classes, using the classroom laptops, and playing on the 2nd grade playground for the 1st time!!  Fall conferences are fast approaching.  If you did not make an appointment at curriculum night please contact me to set up a date and time.  Also remember that you may contact me via e-mail, telephone, or through the “CJ”.  E-mail is the best way to reach me!

My name is Kimberly Richards and I grew up in Newark, Delaware.  I took 9 years of piano lessons and 8 years of clarinet lessons as a child.  I also love to travel, swim, and ski.  I graduated from the University of Delaware with degrees in Elementary Education, Special Education, and a minor in History.  After graduation, I taught 1st grade and 4th grade in Cecil County, Maryland.

In July 2007, I moved to Alpharetta and joined the Dolvin community.  Last year, I taught 4th grade here at Dolvin.  As an educator, I strive to discover the strengths and needs of each student, and to use that information to help the children reach their full potential.  If you have any questions about your child’s progress, feel free to e-mail or call me.
