Math We have finished our unit on multiplication and division and we are moving into money. By the end of the unit, the students should be able to count money and make change (up to 5 dollars). When you are at the store with your children, let them count the money and pay the cashier. Also ask them how much change they will get back. |
Writing Our workshop is in full swing as we move into writing to persuade. We will continue to write well organized paragraphs with good spelling and grammar. The children will also learn to develop a clear opinion statement and reasons to support our opinion. |
Reading Our last reading unit of the semester will cover fables, folktales, poetry, and drama. Ask your child what they have learned about each genre! Please remember that your child should be reading for 20 minutes every day. |
