Math

Our current math unit covers place value, addition, subtraction.  To help your children at home, work with them on their math addition and subtraction math facts.

Writing

We are working on including great ideas in our writing.  We are emphasizing main ideas and details.  To help your child at home talk to them about these vocabulary words.

Reading

This month, we will continue reviewing all of the parts of a story.  To help your children, read with them and ask them to tell you the characters, setting, beginning, middle, and end of the story.

Social Studies / Science / Health

Soon we will start science and discuss stars!  After our stars unit we will go back to social studies to learn about Georgia’s history, including important Native American tribes that lived in this region.
