Bert and Ernie are Red Ear Slider turtles. I bought them at a souvenir store in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. They were in a tall fish tank with about fifty other turtles. They were about the size of a quarter. I have had them for four years now. They love attention and get very excited when someone comes near their tank. At my house they live in 29 (long) gallon tank (on holidays and during the summer). I recently bought them a 75 gallon tank for school. They love it! They have plenty of room to swim around. I built a new stand for the big tank this summer and look forward to seeing it in our classroom.
