¡ On the next screen, select “student” from the drop down menu and then click on “Next.”

¡ The next page will ask you to key in a class id number and password. See below for the class id numbers for Mrs. Smith/Ms. Mitchell’s classes:

The password for all classes this semester is Spongebob (this is case sensitive…make sure the “S” is uppercase and the rest is lower case)

¡ Enter your email address on the next page. If you do not have one, enter your parent’s email address. You will need this email address to login to the program.

¡ Next, you will create your password. It should be 880LASTNAME. (I.E., 880SMITH) and submit. (If the program won’t let you because more than one person in the school has your last name, add your first initial...this is just a good way to remember your pass word....)

¡ The next page will prompt you to enter a secret question/answer in case you need to reset your password. Click Next after you have done this.

¡ On the next screen, “agree” to the terms and conditions and the next screen will look like this:

Welcome! You have just enrolled in the class: Period 1.

You are now ready to submit a paper.

To submit a paper, please login and click on the name of your class. You will be taken to your class portfolio page, which will look much like this:

Next to the name of your first assignment will be a submit button. Click the submit button to submit your first paper.

¡ You will be taken to student homepage. The homepage shows your enrolled classes.

¡ Click on the class name (Period 1, etc.) to open your portfolio for the class. From your portfolio, you can submit a paper.

¡ To submit a paper, click on the paper shaped submit icon to the right of the assignment. To view the start and due dates and times for an assignment, click on the assignment name.

¡ To submit a paper, locate the paper you want to submit on your computer by clicking the "browse" button and enter a title for the paper. Make sure you have entered a name for your paper…it should include your name (i.e., Sample Essay K Smith). Then click the submit button to upload the paper.

¡ It will display your text and ask you if this is the correct paper. If it is, click on “yes, submit.” (If not, follow the prompts to reload the correct essay.)

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH TURNITIN.COM:

After you log in, click on “Enroll in a Class”

The next page will ask you to key in a class id number and password.

See below for the class id number for Mrs. Smith/Ms. Mitchell’s class:

And you are DONE.
