About Ms. Power

Name: Maggie Power

 

Who is Ms. Power:

Born and raised in Roswell, I am a product of Fulton County Schools. I went to Mimosa ES, Crabapple Middle, and Roswell High.  I received my bachelors' degree at Kennesaw State in Early Childhood Education P-5 and I received my Masters degree in reading and literacy from Walden University. This is my third year teaching at Manning Oaks. I got married last year and we welcomed our first child Rylie on August 12.

My mission for teaching:

My mission is to guide my students to become active learners in    all realms of their lives. To do this, I will establish high expectations for my students in all areas of learning and hold each student accountable for meeting these expectations. I also want to create a learning environment that promotes curiosity, imagination, and creativity. Instilling these values encourages them to make learning a life long goal. Each day, I want the students in my classroom to leave being able to believe in themselves and know they will achieve great things.
