The Tricks of Food Sneaking
Hello Mrs. Spangler. A few weeks ago I
brought in one of those good tasting McChicken sandwiches. I tried
not to eat the McChicken sandwich, but the aroma of it was overwhelming.
This is when I started eating the McChicken sandwich. Moments later, you
(Mrs. Spangler) shared a few heart breaking words to me, telling me I had to put
my McChicken sandwich away; and I did.
The powers of the McChicken sandwich overtook the authority
of the teacher. I wasn't thinking that much and I knew she was looking for
me to open the McChicken back up for another bite. I also knew she was
going to take the amazing McChicken sandwich. So without thinking of any
clever plans, I carefully took out the McChicken sandwich placing it on my desk
(sandwiched in between the pages of my notebook). As she sat quietly at
her desk seeming to be busy at work, she jumped up yelling at me and snatching
my McChicken sandwich away. She left me there weeping. I then
thought of how I would plan my next attempt. How could I be so foolish?
I will try to make more time next time when I come back from
the doctor to feed myself after eating no breakfast. There was nothing I
could do. I was a growing child with the need to feed! I'll stay
outside the class and finish my McChicken sandwich. I'll have my better
days sneaking my food in class.
