Recommendation Guidelines |
|
You MUST give me AT LEAST two weeks notice before you need the letter.
1. I need a list of the schools to which you would like to apply. Please complete the Student Rec Form (link available below) Note: If it is for a scholarship, please complete the Scholarship Rec Form (also available below)
2. Please email me the Student Rec Form and/or Scholarship Rec Form as a word attachment from an email address you check often. I will use this address if I have any questions for you and/or to let you know when I have completed the recommendation. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SAVE YOUR FORM AS A .DOC OR .RTF FILE. MY COMPUTER CANNOT OPEN .DOCX FILES (VISTA FILES).
3. For each school I need: a. a stamped, addressed envelope (if I am mailing it) or an envelope with your name and the school’s name on it (if I am giving it to a counselor to mail with other materials) b. the school’s letter of recommendation form*
PLEASE DROP THESE OFF ON MY DESK IN 3314 IN THE BLACK BIN LABLELED “REC DROP OFF.”
*If you are applying to multiple schools that use the Common Application, you only need to fill out one.
I will turn your letter into your counselor or mail it for you. I will not give you the letter to give to the counselor or to mail yourself.
OPTIONAL/HELPFUL: A resume/info about why you are interested in each school, including particular settings, programs, activities, etc.
