The Ripple Effect The AHS Literary Magazine |
|
For the past several years, students at Alpharetta High School have found a creative outlet in the body of the AHS Literary/Art Magazine The Ripple Effect. As a class, The Ripple Effect staff produced a magazine once a semester filled with the artistic fruits of our high school’s student body in the form of art, photography, prose, and poetry. Although the Literary/Art Magazine class is no longer a part of AHS’s course offerings, the former staff members have founded a club to continue our mission to provide our peers with a chance to be published. As the current president of this club, I would like to thank my fellow club members for their dedication to our common vision. I also applaud the assistance of Mrs. Tubiak, our club sponsor, and thank her for helping us as we attempt to realize our dream. The staff of The Ripple Effect is currently attempting to create a website that, though not yet operational, will house the creative products of Alpharetta High School’s student body, just as our tangible magazine once did. Our competitive admissions process will remain intact to ensure the highest quality product for our readers and viewers. However, as a website presents immense new opportunities to expand upon our original offerings, we hope to provide a broader range of media in the form of video, choreography, and music sections in the future. The possibilities are unlimited. As the president of Alpharetta High School’s Literary/Art Magazine, I encourage you to submit to our website via the Blackboard Course Builder (details below) and to attend one of our meetings for yourself. We welcome new members wholeheartedly. Thank you, Alpharetta High School, and read on. Go Raiders!
Sincerely, Samantha Flynn, President of The Ripple Effect Literary/Art Magazine Club |
